The
M5T Bear Trike
| The trike carriage kit includes the frame, the front nose wheel (steerable),
and rear wheels with leaf spring suspension. The primary frame (base
and mast) material is 2" square T6 aluminum tubing with 1/8" wall thickness,
while the front strut is 1.5” round T6 tube. The majority of bolts are
3/8" dia. and 3" long. The brackets are 3/16" thick, 2" wide, and
approximately 5" long. All of the above components are pre-drilled
and pre-cut, so the only thing you need to do is bolt it together.
You will need to supply an engine, wing, seat, and engine mount in order
to complete the trike. |

The weight of the carriage will range between 60 and 80 lbs. depending
on the type of seat you select. With a small engine, such as the Rotax
277, the weight of a complete trike, less the wing, will range between
100 and 120 lbs. Many hang-glider wings can be used with the trike.
The completed Bear Trike can be folded down for ease of transportation
and storage. |
